OUR FILING PROCESS

You need professional tax services and we can help with that. Here's how the TMG process works:

  • Provide your email address.
  • We’ll email you a link to our current portal or a prior year, if needed.
  • You’ll create a username and password and answer all of the questions for the year you need prepared.
  • You’ll upload required documents including Driver’s License for you and your spouse (if applicable), SSCards for all dependents being claimed, all income sources, including W2s, 1099INT, 1099DIV, 1099NEC, 1099MISC, etc.
  • Upload any reductions to income. These reductions may include charitable contributions, mortgage interest payments, medical expenses. Let us know if you have anything in this category and we’ll provide more details.
  • When you have completed your uploads shoot us a message (Messenger or text) to say you’re done. Our text line is 833-864-1040.
  • We’ll begin preparation and ask any follow up questions to ensure we have a clear understanding of your situation and all pertinent information.
  • We’ll provide you with a First Look Review (FLR) within 8 days of your file being completely submitted.
  • After we complete your FLR, we’ll make any needed revisions and schedule a Zoom (or in-person appointment) with you to review the final copy. After the Zoom, we’ll send the file to you for signature via your client portal or DocuSign.
  • Upon receiving your signature and payment confirmation, we’ll electronically submit the file to the IRS, and the state, within 3 business days.
  • If you are entitled to a refund after the file is successfully accepted by the taxing authority, you can expect your refund to direct deposit within 14-21 days.
  • If you owe, we’ll discuss what your options are.
  • If you’re entitled to a refund, our fee can be taken from the refund and you’ll pay nothing out of pocket.
  • If you owe, you will receive an email invoice from our payment processor CPACharge to pay our fee and the invoice must be paid before the file is transmitted.

Our fees START at: 

  • $345 Federal – No business activity, $445 Federal when LLC business activity is present.
  • $245 State – There is an additional $245 fee for each state that needs to be prepared.
  • $845 Federal – For business forms including SCorp, CCorp, Partnerships.
  • $245 State – There is an additional $245 fee for each state that needs to be prepared.

Our fee includes expert, professional preparation services, 3 years audit protection, 3 years record retention and 3 year access to TMG to discuss the return we prepared.

Bonus: If you are expecting a refund. download the IRS2Go app to check the status. The app updates overnight and provides the most accurate information on the status of your refund. 

Allow 7 – 9 days after your refund is successfully transmitted, before you start checking.

You’ll need:

  • Your SSN
  • Your filing status (there is a checkbox located on your 1040).
  • Your expected refund, which can be found on line 34 of your 1040. Remember your prep fee will come out of the federal refund so what you are expecting is the gross amount, however, you will receive the net amount (after our prep fee) as your direct deposit. Enter the GROSS amount when checking the app and expect the NET amount to post to your bank account.
